    Summary

    The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading our team of software engineers to deliver high-quality software products.

    This role works closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure that our software is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    The Engineering Manager develops and coaches his or her team, providing technical guidance, driving continuous improvement, and supporting career advancement.

    The ideal candidate will be passionate about mentoring others, tackling complex problems, and display high empathy and compassion.

    Responsibilities


    Develop and execute a comprehensive software engineering development strategy, that includes personal development process, tools, and aligns with the business Key Objectives and Results (OKR).

    Collaborate with product managers to define and prioritize product features and requirements.

    Participate in the recruitment and hiring of new engineers.

    Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the company.

    Ensure that your team is adhering to best practices for software development, testing, and deployment.

    Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact the success of the team.

    Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the team and across the organization.

    Recognize and celebrate team achievements.

    Facilitate and adapt to change within the organization.

    Set clear expectations and hold the team and yourself accountable.

    Advocate for the team and ensure that they have the resources they need to succeed.

    Develop and communicate the roadmap for the team and products.

    Plan for meeting deliverables and ensure that the team is meeting their commitments.

    Make staffing recommendations to ensure that the team is appropriately resourced.

    Qualifications

    5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.

    Experience leading and managing a team of engineers.

    Strong technical knowledge of software development, testing, and deployment.

    Experience in Javascript, Angular, and is a plus.

    Experience defining and developing Agile best practices.

    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

    Strong communication and collaboration skills.

    Strong project management skills.

    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
