Job Summary Provides the formal leadership role for the implementation of Operating System projects.Responsible to impart the principles of the DTE Operating System to all project participants and ensure that the principles are being practiced after the project, or intervention has concluded.
Manages projects that have been agreed upon by the Business Unit executive, and the Operating System Strategy Group's OSSG management team.
Mentors the project support personnel in the understanding of the principles, methods, tools and concepts of the DTE Operating System.
Ensures sustainable, measurable business results have been achieved on key projects.Key Accountabilities Implements Training Improvements across the Enterprise through significant business unit projects as agreed to by the business unit executive and manager.
Designs training improvements based on the understanding and experience of business unit operations challenges and key objectives.Completes key projects successfully through sustainable, measurable business results.
Meets targeted project objectives as agreed to by the business unit executive and the OSSG manager.
Builds strong partnerships with both external and internal organizations.
Leads and drives LATD and Operations business objectives to identify the gap between current reality and the ideal state.
Coaches and leads project support personnel and business unit clients to understand the principles, methods, and tools of the DTE Operating SystemLeads training development projects to support various initiates and must be able to take training from concept to completion in various finalized formats (instructor Led, Web Based, etc.).Supports administrative responsibilities of the LATD, including, but not limited to, tasks such as Learning Management Administration responsibilities, training laptop management and roster processing.
Supports training initiates and events at various service centers, typically 5 months out of the year.This position requires extensive on-site support, at various DTE locations throughout SE Michigan.
This position may require FERC gas training.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience in change initiativesOther Qualifications Demonstrated application of Operating System concepts through specific, significant business improvementExperience in designing and implementing systems approach change efforts such as Lean Operating Systems, Six Sigma, and Total Quality ManagementDemonstrated use of project management including design, implementation, countermeasures, evaluation and resultsAbility to use of a coaching or mentoring model with experience in assessment methodologiesDemonstrated understanding of organization and business knowledge that includes structure, and enterprise and business unit strategyDemonstrated examples of written and oral communication skills such as oral presentations, detailed status reports and training deliveryProven leadership in facilitating and leading Swarms, AAR's, Process Mapping sessions and Kaizen eventsExperience in developing technical training, including assessing learning needs and designing training curricula and materialsTechnical writing experienceExperience working in a regulative environment with union employeesAdditional Information Incumbents may engage in all or some combination of the activities and accountabilities, and utilize a variety of the competencies cited in this description depending upon the organization and role to which they are assigned.
