Requirements / Qualifications

Reporting to the Director of Special Education, the Student Services Social Worker will provide mental health services to students with special needs. Responsibilities include individual, group, and parental counseling, consultation, and coordination of treatment to enhance academic performance. Services will be offered in both school and home settings to support students' social-emotional goals and educational access as per their IEP.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Applicants must have a Master's Degree and hold a license in Social Work (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC).

Knowledge and Skills: Candidates should be well-versed in evidence-based practices and competent in delivering services to students and families effectively. The ability to maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, students, and the community is crucial.

Abilities: The ideal candidate should be capable of communicating ideas clearly, and meet the state's standards for physical and mental health. A valid California driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
