    Compensation:
    Salary range starting at $60,000
    Year-end bonus opportunities

    As a Quality Engineer your responsibilities will be :

    Execute the Quality Management System to attain / maintain plant certifications.
    Lead investigation, reporting and

    corrective/preventive

    actions for customer claims and internal nonconformance events.
    Execute on internal quality programs, including calibration, GMP, food safety, pest control, HACCP and audit processes.

    Serve as interface with Customers and Sales Department on customer issues as well as regular interface with Operations and Technical groups.

    Implement quality system improvements.
    Challenge the status quo and recommend improvements.
    Lead process and test method validation activities, including writing protocols, executing, statistical analysis and reporting.
    Support internal quality programs, such as calibration, GMP, food safety, pest control, HACCP, audit processes, and documentation control.
    Must be able to perform tasks effectively with minimal supervision.

    A strong Quality Engineer will possess :

    Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or other closely related degree required.
    3+ years Quality experience in manufacturing operations highly preferred.
    ASQ Quality Engineer certification (CQE) or equivalent a major plus.
    Six sigma and/or Lean manufacturing experience preferred.

    Possess advanced computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.

    Demonstrated skills in organizing work, taking initiative, setting priorities and sound decision making.
    Possess logic, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills.
    Must have strong critical thinking ability.
    Strong Interpersonal, communication, coaching and conflict management skills.
    Excellent oral and written communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.

    CNG:
    Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activities
    Follows company guidelines and actively participates in all safety processes
    Carry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism
    Look for, report, and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possible
    Identify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better way
    Troubleshoot mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when needed (use as needed)

    While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand up to the full duration of your shift on a cement production floor.

    The team member frequently is required to use arms to reach and hands to handle or feel. The team member must repetitively lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Must be able to routinely climb stairs and work safely around numerous hot surfaces and rotating equipment.
    Team members are also required to frequently talk and hear.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Team members in this role are exposed to seasonal

    temperature/humidity

    changes that can be near 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
