Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Clearance Required in Mascoutah, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aero and defense location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help support a secure environment. As an armed Security Professional, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security-related concerns while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. You will work with an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.

Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production and office areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify irregular conditions.

Control access by verifying credentials, supporting visitor processing, and monitoring entry and exit points in accordance with site requirements.

Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding security-related observations and/or ongoing conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

An Armed Guard Card/License is required.

An active DoD Secret clearance is required.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
