We care for a wide range of adult patients that require both elective and add-on emergent surgical procedures. We also provide surgical services to meet our level 3 trauma designation at BBMC. heavy focus in orthopedics, general surgery and urology. We also provide services for plastics, GYN, robotics, spines, and dentistry.

    Enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-night shift differential when applicable.

    Banner Baywood Medical Center is a 342 bed hospital serving the health care needs of the dynamic and growing East Valley communities of metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona.

    This position provides support to the surgical team by providing basic patient care and assistance as directed. Promotes patient safety by assuring safe functioning of OR specialty equipment during procedures and ensuring appropriate supplies are available.
    Serves as a resource person in designated surgical specialty to ensure coordination of necessary instruments and equipment.
    Maintains unit equipment.

    performing basic troubleshooting of equipment; performing safety checks on equipment and specialty carts as directed, calibrates and replaces soda lime.

    Monitors equipment for malfunctions, performs light maintenance or arranges for repairs. May complete room setup, assemble equipment, and maintain anesthesia specialty carts.
    Tracks and monitors availability of equipment and instruments for procedures in collaboration with the members of the OR Team.
    Performs functional tasks and utilizes equipment as delegated by a licensed professional. This may require additional specialized training provided by the department, consistent with demonstrated competency.
    Assists with transporting patients, including pre-operative and immediate post-operative patients to critical care unit. High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.

    An understanding of inventory management tasks and the ability to work effectively with a computer based inventory management system.

    Previous experience working with specialty instruments and equipment is strongly preferred. Knowledge of patient related supplies, materials, and aseptic techniques are preferred. EOE/Female/Minority/Disability/Veterans
