SUMMARY OVERVIEW
Treats patients, mentors, supervises work performed by therapy staff and contributes to the management of daily operations in Radiation Oncology.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates daily staffing coverage, rotations and time usage in the treatment area.10%
Reviews and maintains electronic medical records for treatment delivery, charge entry and quality assurance.20%
Troubleshoots problems related to treatment equipment, patient schedules, and staffing.15%
Performs patient simulations, delivers a prescribed radiation treatment, and assesses/educates patients according to specific department guidelines.40%
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
Radiation Therapy Certification and Registration
Preferred
