    Superlanet is seeking a Director for a Southern California hospital to lead the Clinical Research Informatics (CRI) group. This pivotal role involves overseeing the day-to-day management of operations and administrative functions, including planning, program evaluation, policy and technical implementation, personnel administration, budget, service promotion, and proposal development. The Director will play a crucial role in integrating clinical care with clinical research through the support of clinical research data integration, data sharing, and data security.

    Minimum Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Science, Clinical Research, Bioinformatics, or another related field.
    • Graduate study in Informatics, Computer Science, IT, or a related field is highly desired.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • 7-10 years of leadership and management experience in Health Information Data Management and/or providing informatics tools and services.
    • Experience providing informatics tools/services to academic researchers is required.
    • Preference for experience within an academic medical/healthcare environment and implementing and managing clinical trials and research data warehouses.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strong time management skills, with a proficiency in grasping new technologies and managing competing priorities under tight deadlines.
    • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and track multiple projects while maintaining well-organized and accessible shared files.
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a focus on strategic alignment and practical delivery.
    • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, capable of identifying process improvements as needed.
    Position Accountabilities:

    70% - Program Planning and Management:
    • Develop and manage CRI objectives, content, and operating policies to ensure efficient and secure data use.
    • Serve as a key resource, resolving problems or questions from researchers and technical personnel.
    • Develop marketing and promotion strategies for the program.
    • Plan and implement controls and procedures to protect systems and data.
    • Evaluate vendor proposals and ensure that information systems products meet standards and user requirements.
    10% - Finance and Management:
    • Manage program budgets and staffing, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
    • Provide financial status reports and make budgetary and resource allocations as needed.
    20% - Research:
    • Assist in the writing of grant applications, IRB applications, publications, and other documents.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders on new initiatives and service opportunities, ensuring high-quality customer service and user training.
    Benefits

    $150,000-220,000 plus a robust benefits package.
