Job summary
The Y Before and After-School Enrichment (BASE) program is designed to provide a safe and caring place for students outside of the classroom.As an instructor at this program you will guide elementary age participants through sports arts STEM and other hands-on learning activities helping teach teamwork social emotional learning skill building creative exploration physical activity fun.

- This role involves implementing culturally relevant developmentally appropriate activities within curriculum in accordance with Youth Development goals YMCA.
- Supervising group children ensuring their health safety providing positive experience each child may guiding staff/volunteers overseeing groups children professionally communicating day-to-day confidential evaluative information parents/guardians following YMCA policies procedures including medical disciplinary situations child abuse prevention emergency procedures assisting maintaining developmentally appropriate site appearance décor cleanliness site preparing serving snacks cleaning snack area attending staff meetings trainings as required other duties assigned.
