    Schedule:3-4 hour average (AM or PM)
    Shifts are predominately Wednesday PM Friday PM Saturday AM/PM Sunday AM/ PM
    Events take place regularly
    Attire: Armed. Uniformed sites OR Plain clothes

    Location: Boston, MA
    Pay Range: $ $27.00 Hourly based off of experience

    Signal of New England, is seeking ARMED Security Officers to join our team As a member of our team, you would be responsible for protecting the client while securing and monitoring the assigned property from any criminal activity or trespassing.

    Qualifications:

    • Must have an unrestricted LTC
    • Must have own firearm and provide equipment
    • Military or law enforcement experience is preferred but not necessary
    • Must be able to pass a CORI background check.
    • Reliable and attentive to meet the needs of clients.
    • Ability to interact with local Law Enforcement
    • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or sit for long periods, and detain an individual if necessary.
    • Must be available mostly on weekends
    • Driving a patrol vehicle
    • Must be able to pass Firearms Qualification Bi Annually

    Responsibilities:

    • Instill client & congregant confidence that you are there, prepared,& knowledgeable of your duties,& tasks.
    • Conduct exterior checks – establish entry/exit points. Conduct interior checks – know facility's layout (restrooms, meeting spaces, gathering areas, etc.).
    • Locate first aid kits. AEDs, CCTV monitoring areas (if available).
    • Remain personable but not over familiar.
    • Most of the shift to be posted outside. Adapting to all weather environments and varying shift time frames.
    • Verbally engage all individuals who are approaching the site . Direct individuals who cause a disturbance to leave the property. Identify suspicious persons or vehicles, investigate to a finding.
    • Engage an active shooter.
    • Maintain situational awareness / observations / red flags.
    • Create detailed daily activity and incident reports using the best technology in the industry.
    • Remain in constant contact with on-site point of contact and your direct supervisor.
    • Be a professional, be, know and do your job.
