    Grant Coordinator

    Job Summary:

    The Grant Coordinator will be responsible for identifying grant opportunities, managing the grant development and proposal process, and collaborating with BayMark personnel in the development process of responding to relevant grant opportunities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develops resources and researches grant opportunities from various donors in order to determine the eligibility criteria and identify grants that are worth pursuing.
    • Prepares contract proposals in accordance with business goals and objectives, administers major contracts, documents.
    • Assists in monitoring proposal process, ensures funder's policies and legal requirements are followed.
    • Coordinate internal department grant facilitation and collaboration to ensure the grant is either invoiced or billed accurately and consistently and prepare invoices as needed.
    • Negotiates contractual provisions with potential partners.
    • Assess specific grant required EMR changes and coordinate with internal department to request and facilitate updates.
    • Collaborates with team members in the organization to assist with other grant projects, as well as develop relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Coordinate the pre-award planning, organization, preparation, and the post-award administration of various grants.
    • Track and report on grant spend down to ensure utilization is in compliance with the grant contract
    • Ensure grants are in compliance with regulatory, funding, agency, and policy requirements.
    • Provide guidance and support in the identification and development of grant opportunities.
    • Prepare proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals.
    • Determines proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposal (RFPs), and attending strategy meetings.
    • Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal.
    • Enters and monitors tracking data.
    • Coordinates requirements with contributors and contributes proposal status information to review meetings.
    • Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information, coordinating submissions and collections, and identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals.
    • Develop proposals by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverable, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation.
    • Writes, revises, and edits drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.
    • Prepares presentation by evaluating text, graphics, and binding and coordinating printing.
    • Maintains quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintaining proposal support databases.
    • Obtains approvals by reviewing proposal with key providers and project managers.
    • Improves proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplate.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks.
    • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
    • Track and create a calendar of grant opportunities including deadline dates, required materials, etc.
    • Complete and submit grant applications to secure funding.
    • Successfully understand and communicate mission and vision of company applying for the grant.
    • Maintain chart of grant applications: including grants applied to, status of application, grant deadline.
    • Prioritize grants to apply for (based on size of grant and time funding is released).
    • Create and update grant FAQ document to provide organizations applying for their own grants.
    • Demonstrate highest degree of professional and personal ethics in the execution of all work activities and duties and demonstrates an understanding of the Corporate Compliance Plan.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum age requirement of 18.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, Organizational Management, or related field.
    • Associates degree in creative writing, healthcare management, or related field. Bachelors degree preferred.
    • 4 or more related years of grant writing experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
    • At least 2 years experience in grant writing, preferably within the healthcare field.
    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
    • Knowledge of fundraising methods and information sources.
    • Demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively with ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
    • Accuracy and attention to detail and follow-through.
    • Competence in verbal and written communication
    • Proficiency with computer systems, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet and various software applications.
    • Demonstrates discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
    • Customer service focused, eager and energetic
    • Exhibits good time management skills.
    • Ability to work with a diverse population and exhibit excellent customer service skills.
    • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
    • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting.
    • Satisfactory criminal background check.
    • Satisfactory drug screen.
    Salary Range: Salary ranges from $73, $75,000.00 annualized. The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training.BayMark offers excellent benefits:
