Job Summary

This role involves personnel management coordination of nursing services ensuring safe efficient therapeutic patient care.
In absence Director Nursing Services takes charge relating effectively continuity care participates hospital safety procedures programs manages guidance counseling activities personnel designated shift evaluates recommends changes nursing service records informs Director Nursing Services nursing activities needs problems unusual events coordinates activities through charge nurses continuously reviews staffing patterns attendance revises daily staff schedule necessary approves rejects salary change recommendations makes recommendations hire promote suspend terminate employees maintains assists orientation programs new employees supervises in-service education program follows evaluate effectiveness determine need revision methods materials investigates reports complaints initiates orders repairs responsible environmental control including infection control exercises independent judgment initiative.
