Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Supervisor at JA Solars Phoenix facility, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse department. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for leading and coordinating the activities within the warehouse department to ensure smooth and efficient operations in coordination with Production, Planning and support operations.

Duties and responsibilities:

Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs

Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation

Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols

Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciles with data storage systems

Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts

Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees

Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

Improves staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

State driver's license with satisfactory DMV driving record

License to operate a forklift or able to obtain

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives

Strong knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPI s)

Computer literacy

Leadership skills and ability manage staff

Working conditions:

Works in a manufacturing and warehouse environment

Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

May be required to work after hours and on weekends or holidays

Physical requirements:

Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities
