    Licensed Vocational Nurse, Research

    The Licensed Vocational Nurse, Research position contributes to multiple research studies within the Laura Rodriguez Research Institute. This role is grant-funded and requires collaboration with the Manager and Associate Director.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in developing study tools, such as questionnaires and chart review forms.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational, Institutional Review Board (IRB), and/or study sponsor regulations.
    • BUILD POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY WITH PARTICIPANTS.
    • Contribute to implementing and adhering to study protocols, including participating in creating processes.
    • Monitor and support study activities' progress with the study manager.
    • Participate in training new team members or staff.
    • Review scientific literature and assist with dissemination efforts and/or grant applications.
    • Attend nursing in-services or complete make-up assignments within 2 weeks of assignment.

    Requirements:

    • At least 3 years of experience in an ambulatory care setting or similar setting preferred.
    • IV Therapy and Blood Draw Certification required.
    • California State Board LVN License required.
    • Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification required.
    • Graduation from a recognized practical nurse program or equivalent.
    • High School Graduate (or GED equivalent).
