    Job Description

    American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry float pool position in Illinois requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with strong cardiac experience.

    Responsibilities
    Float pool position covering Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and related adult care units
    Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
    Patient populations include cardiac, telemetry, stroke neuro, med-surg, and step-down ICU adults
    Assignments may require providing coverage across multiple units depending on facility needs
    Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
    Administer medications and treatments following current practice standards and policies
    Formulate, implement, and update individualized care plans for patients
    Participate in performance improvement activities within the department or unit
    Provide clinical guidance to other units and departments as needed
    Proper documentation in alignment with standards of care is expected
    Critical thinking and appropriate escalation for patient safety and experience are essential

    Requirements
    Active Illinois RN license required
    Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience
    Current ACLS and BLS (or BCLS) certifications required
    NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
    Extensive cardiac experience required
    Must meet COVID-19 vaccination requirements
