    Software Development Engineer in Test II - Remote

    Our Enterprise Division is responsible for developing and selling Enterprise Security, Identity, and Application Access products.

    Our goal is to navigate an evolution within customers to a more secure, dynamic and agile infrastructure relating to Zero trust architectures.

    Collaborating with our enterprise sales, other internal teams and external partners is key.

    As a Software Development Engineer in Test II , you will build new products and/or enhance existing products. Akamai's Next Generation portal is used to deliver an exceptional end user experience in interacting with Akamai solutions.

    We provide a platform that enables Akamai, as well as third parties, to rapidly deliver innovative products and features in a distributed development model.

    As a Software Development Engineer in Test II, you will be responsible for:
    Evaluating and test new product features according to business and functional requirements while identifying potential risks
    Working closely with developers to create comprehensive test plans to meet product requirements
    Automating tests for major releases or within Agile sprints for Akamai products
    Participating in design and code reviews, software maintenance releases, and documentation of test cases and results
    Developing new approaches to solve problems identified during Quality Engineering activities
    Working with other engineers to build advanced automated frameworks to deliver and exercise our world-class applications

    To be successful in this role you will:
    Have 2 years of experience and a bachelors degree in computer science or its equivalent
    Demonstrate experience with software test automation and object-oriented concepts in Python or Java
    Have experience in manual and automated testing RESTful Web Services. Knowledge on HTTP proxies, HTTP and HTTPS Protocols, web servers and databases (SQL)
    Have familiarity with command in testing using different QA Methodologies (black-box, white-box and gray-box)
    Have experience with identifying and formulating test cases for both web UIs and backends
    Have experience with Selenium WebDriver and TestNG, including Page Object design patterns and Selenium Grid configurations

    Compensation
    Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

    The base salary for this position ranges from $93,656 - $140,803/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.

    The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
