Junior Software Developer
Capitol Appraisal Group - Remote

The Junior Software Developer will independently develop and perform unit and system testing of software components adhering to highest coding standards.

In this role you will:

·Design software components with guidance from senior team members.

·Assist in conversion of clients to new software.

·Bring to the table enhancement and efficiency ideas for modification of all software products.

·Work closely with developers in coordinated software projects with other business units.

·Troubleshooting and problem solving.

·Provide timely updates on progress of ongoing work.

·Provide second line support when required by Customer Care team.

·Conduct all applicable tests for multiple projects, coordinating across multiple areas.

·Help IT staff with time sensitive issues.

·Assist in duties needed for a complete software system.

·Learn our business model and industry.

Capitol Appraisal provides appraisal and software services for property tax assessment. COMPLEX is our internal appraisal software and CAMAC is the redesign of our legacy system Centurion used by our clients. We rely heavily on COMPLEX to meet deadlines and continually add to the capability of the system to meet the challenges of the industry and efficiency of our appraisers.

We are rolling out CAMAC Collections for our existing clients and actively promoting for new clients the replacement of our legacy system. It is in the final stages of development and mass implementation and will be a priority project. The next phase is the redesign of appraisal software (Centurion) for use by clients.

We have a small development team that enjoys the atmosphere of a family-oriented business, but with the horizontal and vertical employment opportunities of a large corporation. You will have your primary responsibility but expect to be called on when needed.
