    Description

    The Operations Coordinator supports the Superintendents as they oversee personnel and activities associated with the execution of projects to meet company production schedules and quality specifications. The position utilizes complex problem-solving skills along with strong client and colleague interaction skills. The role is best suited for a team player who is company-minded, action-oriented, results-driven, and can work with a firm yet considerate disposition.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Update and maintain daily lineup to include job details, crew members, drivers, vehicles, equipment, start time, and any other pertinent information.
    • Notify foremen, CDL drivers, (and crew when needed) the preceding day for job assignment, start time, equipment needed, vehicles, and other pertinent information.
    • Order and track portable water meters. Submit hour readings as required.
    • Pre-order and confirm materials/mix, rental equipment, and traffic control when needed.
    • Verify tonnages/quantities on tickets and confirm job numbers for accounting.
    • Review Daily Reports. Notify Foremen and Supers of missing information. Notify accounting for invoicing when the job is completed. Notify Estimating of change orders needed if applicable.
    • Submit and confirm permitting and 811s in advance.
    • Maintain dispatch schedule by communicating with foremen and drivers with respect to upcoming needs and job status.
    • Monitor DVIRs for maintenance and repair needs.
    • Provide updated binder documents to foremen.
    • Monitor waste by comparing foremen reports vs. driver reports. Update tonnage scoreboards.
    • Maintain safety spreadsheets.
    • Schedule jobs in OGC; adjust and revise as necessary.
    • Create jobs in Asana and assign tasks to other departments as necessary.
    • Participate in handoff, Projections, Ops, and safety meetings; prep agenda.
    • Assist foremen and superintendents with recruiting, training, retaining, and disciplining crew members and ensure they are focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
    • Serve as direct liaison between field crews, subcontractors, foremen, support personnel, and management.
    • Maintain a work environment that is safe and continually kept clean and orderly.
    • Create and foster a work environment that includes instilling a positive atmosphere, promoting proactive and effective communication, facilitating problem-solving and minimizing and resolving conflict in a constructive manner.
    • Monitor and correct timekeeping for crew members; assist and/or train crew on QBT.
    • Serve as backup to Project Coordinator (Customer Service) during absences or outside of customer service hours.
    • Assist with preparation of weekly newsletter by providing content and serve as backup to publisher.
    • Work with the management team to stay updated on product knowledge, scope changes, strategic plans, etc. and present a united front to crew(s) and other co-workers.
    • Respond to internal and external requests and provide high quality support to customers and colleagues.
    • Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients and work to establish a positive rapport with every contact.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Skills Needed:

    • Extensive knowledge of all construction activities related to our industry is highly preferred.
    • Two (2) to Three (3) years of Administrative experience is required.
    • Strong analytical ability, quantitative and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
    • Confidentiality and trustworthiness.

    Job Type: Full-Time

    Schedule: Monday-Friday (6:00AM-2:30PM)

    Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per year
