UPMC Altoona Regional Health Services (ARHS) is recruiting an additional BC/BE, fellowship trained, vascular surgeon to provide full-scope vascular surgery including open and endovascular procedures, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistula graphs, and extremity bypass surgery. The Vascular Surgery Practice is located on the UPMC Altoona hospital campus with easy access to the 12-operating room suite, interventional/endovascular procedure room, and 6-operating room ambulatory surgery center. Our vascular surgeons are part of Altoona's Heart and Vascular Institute which currently includes 1 vascular surgeon, 1 cardio-thoracic surgeon, and 5 cardiologists.
This employed position offers a generous base salary plus work RVU bonus with an attractive UPMC physician benefit package.

UPMC Altoona is comprised of a tertiary care hospital, an employed physician practice, and a non-profit foundation. We are part of the world-renownedUPMC network of 40 hospitals, 90,000+ employees, 700 physician offices, and a 4+ million-member insurance services division (UPMC Health Plan). UPMC ARHS is a multispecialty practice comprised of 100 physicians in many medical and surgical specialties that includes a large primary care physician base.
UPMC Altoona hospital is a 400-bed tertiary care hospital that serves a 6-county primary service area of 350,000+ central Pennsylvania residents. The hospital is a level 2 trauma center and a thrombectomy capable interventional stroke center that serves an 18-county region from New York to Maryland. UPMC Altoona is a center for vascular surgery, cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology (including TAVR and Watchman procedures) and is a regional cancer center. The UPMC Altoona Medical Staff is comprised of 320+ practicing physicians on the active medical staff in primary care, and medical and surgical specialties.
