MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out all cleaning duties as directed by the Environmental Services Director according to required department policies and procedures Ensures that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to Maintains a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene Ensures that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition Reports any defect to the department director Practices sensitivity to the privacy and individual needs of the residents Adheres to infection control policies at all times Adheres to correct use of personal protective equipment PPE requirements Ensures all necessary documentation is completed daily Carries out other duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Director ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Dusts furniture woodwork equipment dustmops floors Polishes cleans fixtures in rooms bathrooms Operates environmental services equipment e g vacuums floor cleaners buffers shampooers etc Wetmops rooms halls other areas shampoos rugs furniture Cleans vents fan fixtures top windows door frames high surfaces Gathers disposes trash waste materials using specified bags containers Moves furniture heavy objects required Performs terminal cleaning procedures resident rooms prepares rooms new admissions follows isolation procedures isolation rooms Cleans disinfects fixtures floors mirrors windows doors walls bathrooms Makes supply packs departments puts linen stacks carts distribution Takes supply requests delivers them Delivers linen departments preestablished par levels schedules Keeps work areas
