Job summary
The Expediter at American Piping Products is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of materials, products, and services in support of customer commitments and internal production schedules.This role serves as a key liaison between suppliers, purchasing, operations, logistics, and sales to proactively manage lead times, resolve delays, and support on-time performance.
- Monitor open purchase orders and supplier commitments to ensure materials are delivered on time and in accordance with contractual terms.
- Proactively communicate with suppliers regarding status shipment schedules potential delays.Expedite critical orders to support customer delivery requirements operational priorities.Coordinate with Sales Purchasing Operations Logistics teams to resolve delivery issues shortages non-conformances.Track update order status ERP systems ensuring accurate timely data.Identify risks delivery schedules escalate issues recommended solutions.Support supplier performance management documenting delivery performance recurring issues.Coordinate logistics freight arrangements documentation.Maintain organized records expediting activities correspondence delivery confirmations.Comply company policies safety requirements applicable laws regulations.Perform duties assigned APPs operational objectives
