    Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position

    Protective is searching for an Analyst II to join the Statutory Analysis team that can work hybrid with our team based in our Birmingham, AL corporate headquarters.

    This position is primarily responsible for analyzing Statutory capital impacts quarterly, as well as preparing presentations to management and working with other functional areas to provide required Statutory information, as needed.


    The role will be titled Analyst II Financial Reporting within our organization
    Responsibilities

    Prepare and analyze results used for the Company's Statutory consolidated and legal entity presentations to accommodate management reviews
    Assist in preparing Statutory quarterly analysis reporting packages, including working with financial reporting and valuation teams to obtain necessary support to explain quarterly variances in financial results
    Represent the Statutory group on companywide Capital Markets reinsurance transactions
    Compile and prepare information for quarterly Adjusted Net Worth submitted to parent company
    Assist with Statutory filings, including quarterly and annual statements and supplemental filings, as needed
    Assist with quarterly Statutory entries and reconciliations, as needed
    Contribute to process improvement initiatives for the Statutory reporting and analysis group
    Perform ad hoc analysis / support as needed
    Qualifications/Education

    1-5 years of financial reporting experience (Statutory reporting a plus)
    BS degree in Accounting, CPA Preferred
    Detail oriented
    Strong analytical and quantitative skills
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Able to meet reporting deadlines
    SAP and Workiva experience a plus
    Protective's targeted salary range for this position is $59,500 to $80,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective's total compensation package for employees.

    This position also offers additional incentive opportunities[through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance] OR [through cash compensation as part of a sales incentive plan (SIP).
