Job DescriptionOlney Winery is looking to hire an ambitious and energetic full-time lead server who will
tend bar, wait tables, and supervise any other servers on shift. We are a small wine bar
open to the public 43 hours per week, Tuesday – Sunday. We also host group events
during off-hours. We have a small brick oven kitchen serving pizzas, sandwiches and
salads.
As the full-time lead server you would work most single-server shifts alone, and would
be responsible for scheduling and supervising multi-server shifts.
This is an hourly position paying a base salary of $10.00 per hour plus customer tips.
Our experience is that our servers earn approximately $15.00 to $20.00 in customer tips
per hour. We estimate overall yearly earnings (base + tips) for this full-time position to
exceed $50,000.
Job requirements
Solid prior work experience as a server in a bar or pub is mandatory
Prior scheduling and supervisory duties are a plus
Must possess excellent customer facing and service skills
Must be a team player to interact effectively with the kitchen staff, our Director of Sales
and Winery ownership
