Overview
A nationally respected boutique law firm is seeking a real estate transactional attorney to take ownership of sophisticated commercial matters and help expand the firm's real estate platform.
The firm's current real estate work supports its debt, corporate, and litigation practices.This role is for an attorney who can independently run commercial transactions, engage directly with clients, and partner with firm leadership to grow the transactional practice over time.
Ideal for someone ready to move beyond pure execution and assume meaningful responsibility within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.Location and Schedule
New York City preferred, but fully remote candidates will be considered.
The hybrid schedule typically has three in-office days per week.
The right senior candidate may operate fully remote if capable of handling matters independently.
What You Will Do
Lead commercial real estate transactions from term sheet through closing
Draft and negotiate leases, amendments, assignments, consents, estoppels, and SNDAs
Handle mortgage and loan documentation for lender and borrower representations
Serve as primary client contact on assigned matters
Collaborate with debt, corporate, and litigation partners on cross-practice opportunities
Contribute to expanding the firm's real estate transactional footprint
What We're Looking For
8–12 years of commercial real estate transactional experience
Strong drafting and negotiation capability with minimal supervision
Experience handling leasing and real estate finance documents
Ability to manage matters independently and efficiently
Interest in growing within a platform long-term
Collaborative, low-ego personality
Portable Business
Portable business is welcome but not required.
Attorneys focused on execution and long-term growth are equally encouraged to apply.
Compensation and Upside
Base compensation in the $240K–$270K range
Discretionary bonus tied to productivity
Origination credit and long-term growth potential
