    General Summary

    The CFO will play a critical role, partnering with the CEO to steer LJG's multi-branded apparel platform toward financial success and sustainable growth in a dynamic and competitive market environment. The CFO will direct and oversee the financial activities of the corporation (accounting, financial planning & analysis, accounts payable, trade credit/accounts receivable), direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth.

    Essential Job Functions

    Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

    • Oversee the company's financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
    • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the apparel market and among different brands.

    Financial Reporting

    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
    • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for internal management and external stakeholders.

    Capital Allocation and Investment Decisions

    • Evaluate investment opportunities, including licensing opportunities and acquisitions, based on thorough financial analysis and return on investment (ROI) considerations.
    • Manage capital allocation to optimize shareholder value while balancing growth initiatives and financial stability.

    Cost Management and Efficiency

    • Implement cost control measures and operational efficiencies across the company's supply chain, manufacturing processes, and distribution channels.
    • Monitor and analyze cost structures to identify opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvement.

    Risk Management

    Assess and mitigate financial risks inherent in the apparel industry, such as supply chain disruptions, currency fluctuations, and changing consumer preferences.

    • Develop risk management strategies, including hedging and insurance, to protect the company's financial position.

    Treasury and Cash Management

    • Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity management to ensure adequate funds for operational needs, debt service, and investment opportunities.
    • Manage banking relationships and optimize working capital management to minimize financing costs and maximize cash efficiency.

    Financial Compliance and Governance

    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls to maintain financial integrity and transparency.
    • Consult with auditors and regulatory authorities to facilitate audits and regulatory filings.

    Strategic Financial Leadership

    • Provide financial insights and guidance to the executive team and ownership to support strategic decision-making and long-term growth initiatives.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to align financial goals with overall business objectives.

    Adaptability and Innovation

    • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and market dynamics to drive innovation and agility in financial strategies and processes.
    • Embrace digital transformation initiatives to streamline financial operations, enhance data analytics capabilities, and improve decision-making agility.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

    • Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles
    • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
    • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
    • Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
    • Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems

    Required Education And Experience

    • Previous experience working in a multi-branded consumer product brand, preferably apparel
    • Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in business accounting, accounting, or finance
    • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
    • Eight to ten years of progressive experience in financial management

    Physical Requirements

    Seeing: Must be able to see well enough to read reports.

    Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, vendors and employees.

    Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up products.

    Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.

    Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to type and use technical sources.
