Job Summary:
The Director of Facilities Engineering leads the Facilities Engineering department and oversees District-wide facility operations supervising facilities employees and contractors participating at the department leader level of the organization The Director is responsible for the 247 operational effectiveness and stability of all facility components and systemsEssential Duties Responsibilities:
Provides leadership oversight for all aspects of physical plant operations Life Safety systems including needs assessments planning budgeting implementation installation testing preventative maintenance inspections ongoing support
Ensures proper operations of buildings through managing maintaining regulating systems such as HVAC electronic plumbing physical plant operations security fire control pressure steam systems
Plans refinements in facilities services Performs cost analysis services maintenance contracts collaborative agreements new purchases existing systems Negotiates contracts Manages both small- large-scale projects
