    Description

    Our Technical Program Management team is seeking a passionate project/program manager who will help the teams we work with be more effective and will share the same passion to drive the efficiency of Infrastructure. This is a contractor position that is remote while working with teams mostly based in our offices in Bellevue and Menlo Park. Join us on our journey to shape the future of technology

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with Engineering and business owners to define program requirements, set priorities, and establish scope which includes defining the roadmap and long-term strategy of the teams that you are partnering with.
    • Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases.
    • Develop and own communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
    • Define and track key metrics and key quality and performance indicators and drive cross-functional execution of program deliverables.
    • Drive process improvements across multiple teams and functions including reducing the manual efforts through automation.

    Skills:

    • Experience working on distributed infrastructure at scale, software development lifecycle, roadmap planning, and/or application performance management.
    • Ability to be data-driven and lead with data when building tools.
    • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented & organized approach, excellent communication, and developed interpersonal skills.
    • Experience building relationships and collaborating across a flat and diverse org, including cross-functional technical partner teams.
    • Ability to manage competing priorities and simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Project estimating, project scheduling & tracking, customer interaction and management, and implementation planning in large organizations.
    • Demonstrated team-building skills and ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and managing competing priorities.
    • Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization.
    • Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
    • Experience managing day-to-day technical and design direction for large-scale systems.
    • Experience in one or more of the following: cloud infrastructure, SaaS, big data, security and privacy, development and operations, or artificial intelligence/machine learning.


    Preferred qualifications:

    • Master's degree or PhD in a technology or business-related field.
    • PMP or PMI certification.
    • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance, or Marketing.
    • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders, achieve strategic goals, and evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
    • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
    • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
    • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
