    POSITION SUMMARYSince the doors opened in 1972, this factory has grown dramatically into a sustainable state-of-the-art facility. In 2013, we completed our largest solar project yet by installing a 450-kilowatt photovoltaic system of nearly 1,900 panels.

    The amount of energy produced annually by this solar array could power nearly 52 average-sized homes, or approximately 5,000 lights bulbs for an entire year.

    With sustainability and safety always top of mind, our Atlanta factory proudly and passionately produces 460,000 tons a year of our dry pet food brands, including Alpo, Beneful, Cat Chow, Dog Chow, Fit & Trim, Friskies, Nestl Purina ONE and Pro Plan.

    This plant location is just along the southern crescent of Metro Atlanta
    an area that nearly 5 million residents and over 340 of our associates can call home.

    As a Production Manager, you ll safely produce quality products at the right rate and the right time. In this role you will lead continuous improvement processes and implement tools to achieved desired goals.

    You ll provide analytical support to Operations Management, which will help facilitate continuous cost reduction and process improvement efforts using computer-based technologies, statistical techniques, data analysis, and Nestl Industrial performance tools.

    We ll rely on your sound recommendations, which will impact efficiency, innovation, cost reduction, productivity and waste reduction.

    We re a safety-first culture driven by a zero defect and zero waste mentality set out to enrich the lives of pets and the people who love them Coordinate activities and provide direction forprocessing and packing operations.

    Coordinate and implement strategies for safety, sanitation, productivity, and cost saving enhancements. Analyze operating procedures and make recommendations on Best Practices. Facilitate Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts in alignment with Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE). Provide problem solving expertise by identifying root causes for problem areas and recommending possible solutions.
    Provide post-installation analysis on new technology and capital equipment installations.

    Work with Systems and Engineering to manage the plant floor relational database to ensure effective systems integration between the plant floor systems and the business systems.

    Lead a team of supervisors, leaders, and operators.
    Analyze plant floor data and provide feedback that will enable process improvements.


    RequirementsEducation:
    Bachelor s degree in engineering, business, or related field required

    Experience:
    2+ years
    of management leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, military or related environmentrequired.
