**Aerotek is Hiring for Travel Welders in Decatur, IL**

Pay: $35/hr, $150/day/6 days

Shift: 1st shift

**Description:**

+ Utilize blueprints to ensure accuracy of each vessel/tank

+ Welding on shell and tube heat exchangers, ASME Pressure Vessels, and Tanks up to 15 in diameter, 120 feet in length and up to 320,000 pounds.

+ Use various tools to ensure precision of each nozzle location (Fitter)

+ Welder will follow area prepped by fitter and weld nozzles in place

+ MIG/flux-core welding on variety of stainless, carbon, and precious metals

+ 045 wire welding

+ Some TIG welding as needed

**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**

Must Haves:

+ MIG Welding

+ Flux Core Welding

+ Weld Symbol knowledge

+ Basic math skills such as decimal conversion, addition, subtraction, radius, and diameter

+ Experience with boilers, vessels/tanks, heat exchangers (3-8 years experience)

+ Knowledgeable with layout and fabrication of product

+ Physical capability for requirements of job. Lifting 50+lbs

+ Must be okay with heights. Welding 15ft -20ft in the air at times

+ Sub-arc (S.A.W.)

**Nice to have:**

+ Previous lead experience

+ Code welding certified in past

+ AWS certified

+ Sub-arc (S.A.W.)

**Experience Level:**

Expert Level
