Job summary
The Driver II has a CDL and may drive a bus shuttle van or straight truck or boathauling vehicle. Drivers in this position that hold a Class B CDL; drive vehicles under 26 000 lb such as a passenger bus or a straight truck with air brakes or a combination vehicle. Drivers in this position hold a Class C CDL drive non-air brake passenger buses.? Must complete daily vehicle inspection form prior to driving after finishing their route ensure pleasant clean atmosphere is always maintained in out of the vehicle apply all safety equipment available always wear seat belt when driving operate company vehicle weighing under 26 000 lb transporting passengers or transporting supplies and equipment to from designated locations drivers are required to drive defensively safely cautiously all situations exceptional customer service skills are needed when encountering guests ensure good positive representation is always demonstrated picking up dropping off guests at designated locations drivers transporting passengers should be highly knowledgeable about property surrounding areas acting concierge resource for all guests may have lift guest luggage weighing up to lbs into the vehicle fuel clean inspect vehicle when required identify maintenance safety issues take correct steps correct them report malfunctions immediately must ensure all logbooks completed properly including rider information log work Transportation Office dispatcher ensuring any special requests group requests completed may assigned warehouse drivers safely promptly transporting equipment from warehouse may require do maintenance safety inspections on service trucks pickups trailers other vehicles equipment includes checking changing oil tires lights general condition take car wash necessary may assist clerical work answering phones working dispatcher other office duties dry Storage Drivers may sell dispense propane following federal laws dispensing propane bottles with OPD under lbs These drivers also occasionally operate cash register some circumstances handling cash travelers checks credit cards safe accurate manner must understand machinery chemicals used must aware SDS sheets books read use information necessary attend scheduled department safety meetings share innovative ideas improve efficiency operations know follow company policies procedures regarding safety security emergencies energy well rules road.
