    Job Title: Senior Database Administrator

    Location: Hybrid (3 days on-site in Pembroke Pines, FL)

    Position Type: Full-time

    Our client is a leading workforce management company known for its cutting-edge technology solutions and innovative approach to business. They manage a vast network infrastructure comprising over 100 Windows Servers, Web, SQL, and various other critical components, on physical and virtual (VMware) servers.

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our databases, including SQL Server and other data management systems. This role involves managing database servers, implementing data backup and recovery strategies, optimizing database performance, and collaborating with other IT teams to support our business objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    ● Administer and maintain our database infrastructure, including SQL Server and other data management systems.

    ● Install, configure, and optimize database servers and software components to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.

    ● Monitor database performance and availability, proactively identify and resolve issues, and implement necessary changes to optimize performance and minimize downtime.

    ● Implement and maintain data security measures, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

    ● Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity.

    ● Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other IT teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.

    ● Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and team collaboration.

    ● Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in database administration, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

    Qualifications:

    ● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    ● Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role, managing enterprise-scale databases, preferably in a Windows Server environment.

    ● Proficiency in administering SQL Server databases, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

    ● Strong understanding of database concepts and principles, including relational database design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization.

    ● Hands-on experience with database security tools and techniques, such as encryption, access controls, and auditing.

    ● Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex database issues and implement effective solutions.

    ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    ● Good to have: Experience or knowledge of AlwaysOn or other High Availability configuration.

    ● Good to have: Experience or certification as an Azure Database Administrator, including knowledge of Azure SQL Database and other cloud-based database services.

    Certifications (Preferred):

    ● Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate

    ● Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Administration
