    Summary:
    KZValve

    , a business unit of the
    IDEXCorporation, is an engineering design and valve actuation company focused on Agriculture, Fire, De-icing, Turf, and Industrial industries. We specialize in low voltage actuated valves (that are waterproof and extremely durable) ranging in size from 1/4 inch to 6 inches. Our facility and staff design, engineer, assemble, and sell our finished goods. KZ Valve's sales channel is primarily direct to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and through a network of Authorized Stocking Distributors.

    Responsible for the operation of a section within the Manufacturing function, supporting the Manager with the day-to-day management of their manufacturing area, overseeing a group of members, and ensuring an efficient operation in achieving business targets.

    Provide leadership and line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards are met to meet the requirements of the customer.

    Work under general supervision, reviewed by Management. Decisions and results have an impact on the function and their success. Perform basic maintenance on testers and equipment.

    This position will have oversight and responsibility for the building and building grounds as it relates to projects, maintenance, and repairs.


    Description:
    Work with engineering to set up new workstations
    Lean thinking i.e. process improvements, efficiencies
    Focus on continuous improvements in production throughput, document using LEAN tools like PDCA.
    Knowledge of all assembly stations and applicable equipment
    Identify ISO concerns and correct
    Submit ECRs for improvements
    Maintaining assembly and test equipment
    Assign work and schedule work cells
    Ability to read prints
    Ability to use hand tools
    Ability to lift 50 pounds
    Exercise considerable initiative/judgment in work methods and in interpreting and delegating work requirements/goals
    Work independently, reviewed infrequently with minimal supervision
    Ability to lead by example, gain respect from team and communicate with clarity whilst demonstrating excellence in approach to work and people activities
    Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    Excellent organization and problem solving skills
    Ability to manage a wide variety of activities at the same time
    Ability to plan, analyze and challenge
    Able to work cross functionally and collaboratively with many stakeholders
    Solid understanding of all people related processes and procedures
    Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality
    Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:
    Ability to work with all related computer programs
    Minimum of high school education
    General understanding and experience in manufacturing

    Preferred but not required:
    Supervisory experience
    Lean manufacturing experience
    Understanding of quality systems
    Full-Time, non-exempt position
    6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday
    Overtime as needed
    Position reports to the Assembly Supervisor
