    EEG technologist I is an entry level position in the Neurophysiology Department.

    The tech will maintain patient safety while the patient is being monitored in the EMU (epilepsy monitoring unit) or while undergoing an 8 hour VEEG.

    The tech is responsible for ensuring electrode integrity, visually watching and tracking (via camera) epilepsy patients (2-8 patients) via monitors.

    High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or associates degree, or Technical degree required.

    At least 2 years of experience as an EEG technician Brief Performs Setup and preparation of equipment supplies for ordered test.

    BLS provider credentialed by the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to start


    Credentialed as a Registered Electroencephalography Technologist (R.EEG.T) or board eligible by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) standards.
