    Department of Neurology, Brigham and Women's Hospital

    The Department of Neurology at Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a general neurologist to serve as Clinical Director for the General Neurology Division and to join the faculty of Harvard Medical School.

    The successful candidate should be an expert in clinical management of general neurology with a regional, national, or international reputation and a record of clinical and administrative leadership in the academic medical care setting.

    Reporting to the Chief of the Division and the Chair of the Department, the Clinical Director will have responsibilities for overseeing the administrative, clinical, and educational activities of the Brigham and Women's Hospital General Neurology in the Department of Neurology, and will have responsibilities for teaching, supervising, and mentoring Harvard medical students, physician assistants, residents, fellows, and junior faculty.

    The Clinical Director will oversee quality improvement initiatives, streamline access to care, and represent the Division in clinical operations matters within the Department of Neurology.

    While substantial clinical and administrative experience is desirable, outstanding candidates at earlier career stages will be considered and are encouraged to apply.

    The successful candidate should be board-certified in Neurology. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the role will include opportunities for clinical research including clinical trials, and teaching.
    Appointment at the Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements. The Harvard appointment carries an obligation to teach within the Harvard community a minimum of 50 hours per year.
