- Develop, deliver, and evaluate CDSE training, products and services to: Employ a variety of training techniques to provide security training worldwide.
- Assess, design, develop, implement and evaluate new or modified training courses and products based on DOD and Federal policies.
- Conduct routine annual maintenance as applicable to ensure information remains current, relevant and accurate.
- Coordinate and present multidisciplinary security training via instructor-led or virtual instructor led training.
- Implement new and innovative courses of instruction and training products.
- Demonstrate a highly practical knowledge of Personnel Security and Personnel Vetting Program requirements relative to all applicable security disciplines
- Incumbent must successfully attain and maintain the Basic Level Certification for the CDSE's Instructor Certification Program within 24 months of hire date.
- Incumbent must successfully attain and maintain the DoD Security Professional Education Development Program (SPeD), Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC), within 24 months of hire date.
- If assigned as an Industry Security, Physical Security, or Special Access Programs Subject Matter consultant, the incumbent must successfully attain and maintain the applicable specialty certification (Industrial Security Oversight Certification (ISOC), Physical Security Certification or Special Program Security (SPC) Certification (SPSC) within 24 months of hire

- Develop, administer, and maintain curricula and materials on the full range of security principles and practices
- Organize, plan, and coordinate the functions, provisions, schedules, and administrative activities, which are required to conduct education and training programs
- Apply personnel security principles and methods to process initial investigations, clearances, periodic re-investigations, and clearance upgrades/downgrades, suspension, revocations, terminations, reinstatements and to complete the adjudication, and appeals processes
- Analyze processes/programs and interpret results in assessing training and education requirements
- Communicate (i.e., written and oral) rights, responsibilities, management directives, policies, and/or regulations to employees, supervisors, and/or other pertinent individuals
