    Overview


    Our team is looking for a Software Test Engineer to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving.

    The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.


    This Software Test Engineer will need real-world enterprise web application and API testing to implement an effective test strategy and validate application functionality using QA methodologies, tools, strategies, and standards based on best practices in software testing and continuous integration and deployment.

    Role


    Play a pivotal role in Agile teams in the continuous validation of web applications, APIs, and end to end testing of the software products.

    Prepare comprehensive test scenarios, review test cases.
    Perform functional testing in various test cycles functional, regression, sanity, UAT.Develop Test Automation code for API and UI tests, and monitor day-to-day test executionsGenerate test data for defined test cases, recognize test environment preparation needs, and execute existing test plans and report resultsUpdate existing test plans and automated test scenarios to reflect new requirementsParticipate in project-level reviews, walkthroughs and inspections, and conduct test reviews, including test plans, requirements, cases and automation coverageParticipate in requirements review, story elaborations and testing activitiesWork closely with developers to identify code defects or regressionsPerform Exploratory testing as requiredShare experience and insight by suggesting process improvementsPerform demos of new product functionality to stakeholders

    About you

    Strong skills in performing QA tasks viz. test planning, functional testing, debugging, defect reporting.
    Strong skills in testing UI applications and APIs.
    Experience in Automated testing of web based software applications, API testing.

    Experience in different testing strategies; functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, black box testing, Automation, UATEnsures team adherence to Quality Assurance policies, procedures and processesGood knowledge and ability to work with Postman, Cucumber BDD, Gherkin, Maven, TestNG.


    Knowledge of tracking tools:
    JIRA, Zephyr and Confluence is a must.
    Must Have an experience on Selenium or any open source tool.
    Identifying Root Cause Analysis and Tracking the same.
    Good at problem-solving and interpersonal communication.
    Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.

    Experience of testing REST API endpoints, Web and Mobile based applications.
    Sound knowledge of Test Automation toolstack viz. Java, TestNG, Cucumber, RestAssured Gitlab, Maven.

    In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
