Ashley Hall, a private school in downtown Charleston, S.C. is seeking an Operations Team Member to join our team. The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as the School's Bus Driver for Extracurricular/Athletic Activities.

Primary Responsibilities Bus Driver:

Drives school bus/s for the purpose of transporting passengers over scheduled routes to and from school and/or field trips/activities in a safe and timely manner
Monitors students and other passengers during transit for the purpose of ensuring the safe transportation of all passengers
Advises students and other passengers of appropriate behavior for the purpose of reinforcing established guidelines and maintaining passenger safety
Assists students and other passengers for the purpose of providing safe loading and unloading from buses during normal transport and emergency situations

Additional Responsibilities as an Operations Team Member when not Driving the Bus:

Stocking building materials
Inventory of supplies and equipment
Accurately maintaining all OSHA records
Assisting with administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of Operations
Assisting in our campus café as needed
Assisting housekeeping during the day and/or night as assigned by the Director of Operations
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations

Qualifications:

Candidates must hold a valid CDL license with Passenger Endorsement and have a clean driving record
2-5 years of experience in the bus industry preferably in a post-secondary institution
Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate judgment in behavior, speech, and dress in a neat, clean and professional manner for the assignment and work setting
Must be able to pass a drug test and Department of Social Services background check
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Excel and Word
Ability to communicate effectively to various audiences both orally and in writing

Additional Information:

Candidates must be available 7 days a week as some extracurricular trips require transportation on Saturday and Sunday. Times vary are typically between 5:30 am - 8:00 pm
Trips during the day the weekday varies on timing and could be up to two activity trips a day
Must be a team player and willing to take direction from leadership on the Operations Team
Must be able to work with all student age groups ages 2 years old - 12th grade
