    The Finance Associate will manage the cash flow and financial modeling processes in relation to the Sterling Multifamily and Sterling Office and Industrial Trusts.

    This includes developing analytics and building out reporting for the financing and accounting departments, as well as being a key component in helping analyze and manage the loan sourcing and reporting for both Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).

    This role will work closely with our Investor Relations department to review and ensure accurate and timely delivery of investor dividends/distributions and other key periodic reports.

    This role will also be involved in the insurance procurement process and assist in procedures associated with that process.

    Starting at $65,000/year (or more based on experience)


    Job Duties:

    • Lead cash flow and financial modeling for the REITs.
    • Monitor and analyze REIT cash flows and proactively communicate any surplus or deficiencies to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
    • Support accounting team as needed for any reporting, audit, or tax related requests.
    • Audit risk management and insurance programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
    • Assist with companywide projects and initiatives, including working closely with Investor Relations, Governance, Legal, and Accounting.
    • Support effective communication and relationship management with external vendors and investors as directed.

    Education & Experience:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including SharePoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, and Business Intelligence is required.
    • Associate degree in finance, accounting, business management or related subject required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience strongly preferred.
    • Strong understanding and experience in managing and analyzing financial statements and constructing financial modeling.
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, manage time, as well as possess an orientation toward details.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to relate and address issues with a diverse group of people.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to operate common office equipment and basic computer skills.
