Insight Global is seeking out a Go Lang Developer to sit hybrid in New York City 2 days a week on site for a large streaming service.

This person will be joining a globally leading Media Streaming organization.

As a Go Lang Developer for this team, this person will be using in-house and third-party tools, building and supporting the live and linear pipeline for streaming video, optimizing video encoding, packaging, and delivery.

The team will be providing support for live events and other linear channels.

They will be using requirements and modeling to work with Product Owners to implement smart technology solutions and tools delivering premium quality audio and video experiences, as well as managing and maintaining cloud-based content delivery and services.

Skills and Requirements
Must Haves

• 3-4 years of experience in back end development.

* (back end engineering majority of the day working in back end development)

• At least 3 years coding in Golang (writing code in go majority of their days).
• Excellent knowledge of testing libraries (unit tests and integration tests)
• Experience with programming languages (Go Lang, NodeJS, TypeScript, React, etc.).
• Understanding of SDLC
• Technical experience with cloud based technologies (AWS).
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, etc. Plusses
• Understanding of containerization as it relates to Cloud (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Understanding of digital video workflow/operations, and digital video technology development.
• Understanding of playback protocols (DASH, CMAF/HLS).
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and large scale deployment.
• Knowledge of technology principles (Agile, Scrum, etc.)
• Knowledge with Server Side Ad insertion (SSAI)
• Understanding of OO Design Principles and Patterns. null
