    Northrop Grumman is seeking a
    Program Manager 2 to join our Mission Readiness & Protective Systems (MRPS) Business Unit as a Program Manager of a dynamic systems/software/hardware program.

    The location of this position is
    Orlando, Florida .

    The qualified candidate will be responsible for leading all phases of the program life cycle, as well as growing and positioning the program for emerging opportunities.


    Primary responsibilities are the management of cost, schedule, and technical performance and include, but are not limited to:

    • Leading a program organization that effectively addresses customer requirements, drives excellence, and incorporates the necessary internal and external stakeholders
    • Managing all program activities and leading program review sessions with internal and external customers to deliver cost, schedule, and technical performance
    • Establishing and managing the program and subordinate baselines
    • Identification, distribution, tracking, and completion of program requirements
    • Developing and adhering to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and tools
    • Identifying, allocating and managing program resources, including workforce planning
    • Participating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, subcontracts, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions
    • Managing critical subcontracts and suppliers, including negotiation of contracts, contract changes, subcontracts, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions
    • Supporting proposal development
    • Cultivating customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer community

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree and 7 years, or Master's and 5 years' experience.
    • Experience as a program manager, deputy PM, or IPT/functional team lead on programs developing and delivering hardware and/or software
    • Proven leadership and interpersonal communications skills with the ability to interface with all levels of employees, including engineering and management
    • Experience assigning and monitoring team and individual tasking to meet contractual requirements on schedule and within budget
    • Experience leading in a government contracting environment
    • Experience establishing and managing customer expectations
    • General understanding of technical concepts of systems engineering, IT infrastructure, networking, software development, cybersecurity, networking, virtualization, and configuration management
    • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
    • Ability to travel 15% of the time

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Business or Software/Engineering discipline
    • PMP certification
    • Earned Value Management experience
    • Experience with Cost Plus and/or Fixed Price contracts with completion criteria where contract baseline control and change management is required
    • Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs
    • Experience leading a software development program(s) using Agile development techniques.
    • Experience leading or development proposals
    • Active DoD Secret Clearance

    Salary Range: $131,200 - $196,800


    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
