Manufacturing Engineer
As Manufacturing Engineer, you will be introduced to manufacturing support functions and will be performing various special projects.
You will evaluate, develop, and recommend manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
Responsibilities may include:
Institute process and product improvements resulting in a positive impact on safety, production cycle time, product costs and product quality
Develop/evaluate equipment and processes to introduce high quality products at a competitive cost
Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, cellularization, one piece flow, and tools to improve productivity and eliminate waste
Utilize Lean Manufacturing techniques for existing products and new product introductions
Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions
Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes
Process Material Disposition Reports and Engineering Change Requests
Provide programming coordination for various CNC machines:
Contour saw, Waterjet, CNC sewing machine, CNC embroidery
Implementing and supporting maintenance planning
Research, recommend, and implement equipment upgrades
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within department
Recognize your role as part of the Company's Quality Objective; follow established policies and procedures in support of the Company's Quality and AS9100 standards
Maintain work area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner
Perform other job related duties as assigned

Experience/Education:
BS in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or related field
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar application a plus
