    Job DescriptionTitle: Tier 1 IT Support Technician
    Job Description
    Reports directly to company leadership and will work closely with company's Managed IT Service Provider (MSP). First line of support for all user support issues. Resolves routine technical problems. Utilizes basic technical knowledge to support IT initiatives and provide first-level technical information systems support to the company and its users.
    Duties and Responsibilities
    1. Performs basic troubleshooting and remediation on company's primary-use applications, including Adobe Acrobat, Quickbooks, Microsoft Outlook and Office suite.
    2. Troubleshooting and support of both Windows operating system and MacOS, as well as iOS (company-owned iPads and iPhones).
    3. Performs basic troubleshooting and support on company's LAN and WAN infrastructure – basic understanding of IPv4 networking systems required.
    4. Troubleshooting and support for common printer problems, both local and network printing.
    5. Provide individual instruction and/or training to users on new or updated technologies.
    6. Performs routine technical assistance and maintenance duties.
    7. Maintains and updates record keeping system; may document projects and maintain user instructions.
    8. Assists with tracking inventory of company IT inventory – workstations and peripherals, company-owned iOS devices, software licenses, etc.
    9. Work with company's MSP to execute small-to-moderate scale projects, as needed.
    10. Understands and maintains conference room systems and network connectivity.
    11. Assists with the installation, configuration and maintenance of computers, workstations and/or other related equipment and devices.
    12. Keeps up with current technology and cybersecurity standards in order to help maintain a secure workplace network and environment.
    13. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
    Minimum Job Requirements
    • High school diploma or GED; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
    • Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
    • Knowledge of a wide range of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
    • Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance on systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
    • Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of focus.
    • Records maintenance skills.
    • Ability to provide direction to staff and/or student to resolve technological issues.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
    • Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware, software, and/or network solutions.
    • Ability to analyze and resolve basic computer, printer and/or network problems.
    • Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of PC and/or server/client applications and systems.
    Distinguishing Characteristics
    • CompTIA A+ certification minimum, CompTIA Network+ preferred
    • Microsoft MTA: Windows Operating System Fundamentals certification or equivalent
    Working Conditions and Physical Effort
    • Ability to drive and troubleshoot at different model homes throughout Dallas/Fort Worth.
    • Limited physical effort required – ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds plus ability to stand and/or walk an average of four (4) hours per day as part of daily job.
    • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
