Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Distribution Attendant.In this role the successful candidate Responsible for performing a full range of order fulfillment and receiving/warehouse functions including loading and unloading shipping receiving weighing tagging sorting counting stocking storing packing and unpacking of supplies mail and equipment operates postage equipment.
- Receives supplies and equipment and verifies count against bill of lading packing slips and other accompanying documents.
Responsibilities
+- Returns receives loads pallets of supplies places them into pallet racks shelving units by hand or power manual equipment making sure to rotate in accordance with expiration date.
- Maintains inventory levels checking shelves restocking supply carts maintaining supply records picks assembling supplies into boxes/totes facilitating movement materials specified Nursing Units par program replenishes par-stock carts patient care areas ensuring accurate fill stock level neat orderly appearance makes deliveries requested supplies patient care areas throughout Medical Center obtains appropriate authorizing signatures issuing supplies ensures delivered end users accounted complete document conducting proofreading inputting/retrieving data automated inventory control computer system handheld devices performs cycle counts physical inventory responsibilities notifies Supervisor discrepancies store room supply closets operates pallet jacks forklift trucks material handling equipment pick safely efficiently manner adheres workload schedules maintains clean neat work area efficient proper hospital materials handling cares sorts distributes mail timely basis maintains postage meters answers telephone assistance mailing information preparation runs errands routine messenger duties assigned receives unloads loads hospital
- Loading/unloading hospital supplies/equipment Receives verifies accuracy count items received labeling sorting wrapping tagging stocking packing repacking needed breaks separates incoming shipments sort platform trucks u-boats pallets final destination obtains signature delivering ensures accurately maintained transaction transactions required reports discrepancies shipment shortages damages incorrect catalog numbers PO unusual situation supervisory staff provides customer service support internal external customers participates identifying problems suggesting solutions demonstrates ability function successfully team environment exhibits courteous compassionate respectful treatment customers staff proficiently operate postal equipmen
