    The Headlines:

    In the role of Line Maintenance Mechanic - Packaging working in Elkton, VA, you will be part of the maintenance team. You will support manufacturing automation solutions in Brewery operations while working effectively on multi-disciplinary teams to support problem-solving, as well as engaging in continuous improvement initiatives.

    This position reports to the Line Leader and works closely with the maintenance team.

    The Responsibilities:

    • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain equipment.
    • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production and scheduled maintenance days.
    • Assists with onboarding of new team members according to the standard onboarding process.
    • Partners with Line Leader and Training Specialist to implement training plans.
    • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities when necessary.
    • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines and other equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
    • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
    • Use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties.
    • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
    • Ensure that maintenance recording is completed on all equipment.
    • Responsible for communicating and coordinating activities with operations, quality, asset care, and other specialists as required.
    • Responsible for assisting management with process changes and adjustments to standard operating procedures.
    • Responsible for and dedicated to personal and team safety in relation to completion of tasks and duties.
    • Responsible for and dedicated to quality in relation to completion of tasks and duties.
    • Responsible for assisting in the implementation and workings of WCSC 2.0 while performing work.
    • Partners with teams and safety council members to identify and highlight unsafe work practices and escalate/correct with a sense of urgency.
    • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

    The Other Qualifications:


    • High school education or equivalent required


    • Industrial Maintenance Journeyman's certification


    • High level of mechanical aptitude/ability


    • Prior knowledge of manufacturing equipment


    • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Safe Quality Food Procedures, and Safety


    • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience


    • Prefferred Associates Degree in Computer Science, Manufacturing Automation Technology, or Equivalent Technical Degree/Certification


    • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and make decisions in a team based setting.


    • Ability to work full-time, all shifts, all schedules, and all days of the week to include weekends and holidays.
    • Ability to be called in for emergency coverage and work overtime as necessary.
