    CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

    SALARY:
    $19.00

    Summary:


    This position is under general supervision and is responsible for providing high level customer service to all DHA, Housing Solutions for North Texas incoming calls and respond to email inquiries.

    This position is also responsible for providing support as front desk receptionist when needed.

    Ability to answer, respond and resolve inquiries in a high volume of inbound calls and emails.

    Ability and knowledge to explain nature of DHA programs, procedures, and services to clients; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records and DHA information.

    Ensures that customers understand information and direct specific inquiries to case managers or other departments as appropriate.
    Listen attentively to customer needs and concerns; demonstrating empathy and provide resources as it relates to the inquiry.
    Document calls and inquire resolutions by entering accurate and detailed notes into client database.

    Supports the relationship between DHA and the constituent population by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with clients, visitors, and DHA staff.

    Enthusiastically promotes the President/CEO's priorities for the operations of DHA.
    Performs other duties as assigned or required.


    Knowledge and Skills:
    Knowledge of DHA policies and procedures.
    Knowledge of customer service techniques.
    Skill in data entry and basic clerical tasks.
    Skill in operating a personal computer, copy machine, fax machine and other office equipment.
    Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written.
    Skill in interacting with people of different social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


    High School diploma or GED equivalent, and two (2) years of customer service, clerical and computer experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
