Per Diem Endocrinologist - Houston - Legacy Community Health Services, Inc.

Job Summary:

A Physician will administer care to endocrinology patients, including evaluation, treatment, and management. The physician will also supervise mid-level providers involved in patient care.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain regular clinic hours and see patients as agreed upon.
• Collaborate with medical schools and residency training programs.
• Develop quality assessment methods for clinical services.
• Be available during regular hours and after hours as needed.
• Assist in developing patient educational materials.
• Supervise healthcare students assigned to the Clinic.
• Participate in planning future clinical operations.
• Develop and maintain clinical quality assurance programs.
• Establish diagnostic and treatment protocols.
• Recruit and retain providers and staff.
• Participate in research projects.
• Attend service line meetings.
• Provide supervision and mentorship.
• Support research projects, including data analysis and publication.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Advise patients on health prevention and family planning services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Training Requirements:

• Board certification/eligibility in Endocrinology.
• Medical Doctor with current licensure.
• Participation in Medicare, Medicaid, and other reimbursement programs.
• BLS (CPR & AED) Certification.
• EPIC proficiency requirements.

Work Experience Requirements:

• Previous experience in community healthcare settings.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience (including fellowship training).
