- Doctorate in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering or science discipline. Preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Pennsylvania or another state transferable to Pennsylvania for candidates with a Bachelor's of Science degree. Required
- Four (4) years of fulltime work experience in civil engineering with Bachelor of Science and no advanced degree. Required
- Experience in water resources and environmental engineering with Master of Science or Doctorate. Preferred
- Knowledge of the ABET accreditation process. Preferred
- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff and the public. Required
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required

- Knowledge and skills in the usage of tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, Microstation, WIN-TR55 (NRCS), and HEC-RAS. Knowledge and skills in the development and usage of Excel worksheets. Preferred
- Knowledge and skills in the usage of Microsoft Office 365. (Desired) Preferred
- Knowledge of topics related to water resources and environmental engineering. Preferred
- Instruct and evaluate students in the theory and processes of Civil Engineering Technology.
- Instruct and evaluate students in highway design, road layout, estimating, and scheduling.
- Advise, schedule, and maintain accurate records on students.
- Maintain office hours according to contractual agreements.
- Write and update course syllabi; assist with curriculum review, revision, and development.
- Engage in professional development and technological upgrade activities.
- Contribute to the betterment of the College through program and School committee participation.
- Assume responsibility for laboratory development, coordination, and maintenance.
- Attend department and School meetings as scheduled.
- Assist with the preparation of grant proposals and follow-up activities.

Overview:
Penn College is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for educational leadership, student instruction, and student advising in Civil Engineering Technology.
We acknowledge that excellence can be achieved through various avenues, and thus, applicants have two paths to qualification: demonstrating proficiency through workforce experience and holding a P.E. license, or possessing an advanced degree (MS or higher) in Civil Engineering or a related engineering or science field, along with experience in water resources and environmental engineering. Commensurate with credentials submitted as applied to the Colleges Faculty Salary System. As a point of reference, the salary range for new full-time faculty hired in various disciplines throughout the College for the 2024/25 academic year is $60,563 $78,407.
