    POPULATION SERVED

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Physician Coordinator is responsible for managing physician credentialing for American Advanced Physician Groups and various insurance providers. They are responsible with enrolling physicians in group insurance plans, facilitating contracts between the group and healthcare providers and maintaining documentation of expirables.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    At least one (1) year of medical services experience is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, strong organization skills, good written communication skills, ability to work independently, and ability to conduct research while performing job duties is required. The position also requires a person who is able to communicate well with all levels of staff, physicians, and patient referral sources. He/she is flexible, responsible for assignments, and supportive of team efforts.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    JOB DUTIES

    • Conduct physician credentialing processes for AAPG and insurance networks
    • Enroll physicians in group insurance plans and manage related documentation
    • Facilitate contract negotiations and maintenance between the group and healthcare providers
    • Monitor and ensure the timely renewal of all expirable credentials and contracts
    • Collaborate closely with physicians during the application process for group affiliation
    • Interface with credentialing coordinators at each facility to ensure compliance and coordination
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credentialing and insurance-related activities

    QUALIFICATIONS ·

    • Associate's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or related field
    • Prior experience in physician credentialing and insurance enrollment preferred
    • Strong understanding of credentialing processes, insurance regulations, and contract management
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with physicians and external stakeholders
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and credentialing software
    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
