Description of Work:

This position involves the responsibility to accurately and efficiently read water meters, recording consumption data. Regular maintenance tasks include cleaning meter boxes and removal of vegetation impeding access.

• Meter readers are required to take manual readings of meter dials using hand-held units or laptop computers.
• They must perform general maintenance on meter boxes which includes clearing debris from sand and removing some vegetation for better access.

The role also entails walking or driving established routes along water distribution lines taking meter dial readings.
