    Job Title: Medical Technologist (Med Tech)

    Position Overview: The Medical Technologist (Med Tech) plays a critical role in our laboratory, performing a variety of complex laboratory tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced technology and collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely test results to our patients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and blood bank, following established protocols and procedures.
    • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration for accurate test results.
    • Prepare and analyze specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples, using manual and automated techniques.
    • Evaluate test results for accuracy and validity, recognizing and troubleshooting any issues or abnormalities.
    • Maintain accurate records of test results and patient information, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret test results and provide relevant clinical information.
    • Adhere to all safety and quality control protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
    • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) required.
    • Florida state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (MT) required.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Medical Technologist preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and techniques in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology.
    • Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and performing manual and automated tests.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
    • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
